There are two categories of membership open to those over 18 years of age (those under 18 are welcome on Club meets provided they are accompanied by their parent/guardian or an adult nominated by their parent/guardian):
Ordinary – Anyone who is able to sign our declaration of faith.
Associate – Anyone who is sympathetic to the Christian message but feels unable to sign the declaration of faith.
The membership year runs from 1st April to 31st March. The membership subscription for both Ordinary and Associate members is £33 per annum. Membership taken out after 1st January in any one year is valid until 31st March in the following year. The majority of your subscription goes towards club membership of Mountaineering Scotland, which gives you access to affiliated club huts, discounts on mountaineering training courses, a regular magazine and, most importantly, third party liability insurance cover. It also means you are eligible to apply for British Mountaineering Council travel insurance. You will also get discount arrangements with a number of the main suppliers of outdoor equipment. As the cost of membership of Mountaineering Scotland is on a sliding scale, depending on time of joining, our membership fees follow a similar pattern.
